A couple from Sonneberg, which rode their two KTM LC4 for five years around the world, has a set of CLS 200µ since 2001 and CLS Heat since 2003 for extreme-use. The positive results of the chain oilers installed in the KTM’s of Ramona Eichhorn amd Uwe Kauss have even surprized the test drivers of the CLS company. The functionality of the CLS Heat on the other hand, surprized the two globetrotters.

„The continuous oiling gave my chain a lifespan of 53,936km, which, considering we crossed the deserts of Sahara, Kalahari, Namib and the australian Outback, is a small miracle. It’s also amazing, that the chain was not worn out after almost 54,000km, but got some of its chain rollers destroyed by a stone. Without this incident, the chain could easily have kept running for several thousand kilometers. After this voilent end, we measured a lengthening of the chain of only 5mm compared to the new chain.“
